Lily growled and gnashed her teeth. She did not want her head held in place and certainly not by him. Her feet scrambled on the earth too, a by-product of her need to get free of the power in his arms. Her eyes were on the blood drop, though, and the conflict of wants was maddening.
The thrashing ground down to the inevitable standstill. She could not break his hold and he refused to let her go. Then the blood fell. She swallowed that single drop falling off his thumb and energy smacked her right in the chest.
Lily jerked her arms free and clamped them around his arm, or attempted to. She said one word, too.
“It's hard for me to stay in the moment. Without the past, where is the guilt? And without the future, where is the dread? And without guilt and dread, who am I?”

Renquist studied her for a moment, smiling in a twisted manner, his eyes wide as he witnessed her hunger. A single drop would have a human in convulsions at this moment, their body rejecting before it started to die. Lesser undead, creatures ghouled and enslaved, they required flesh for sustenance. And yet this pretty thing most certainly wanted blood - and felt it's power.
He HAD to know what she was. She was so cruelly battered so torn and tormented and yet, so very beautiful. Her death had made her beauty exquisite, a cruel twist on such a fine creature that it struck a chord with him. Yes, she was indeed very pretty and well, he had always been enamored with such unconventional beauty.
As you wish.
His hand found his mouth first, teeth snapping into his palm very easily... before he offered it to her.

For her part, Lily knew nothing but the blood, the swelling crimson that ran into her mouth and was swallowed immediately into her gullet. Oh, and she knew one other thing, lust. It hit her just as the energy started to wane, and it fastened her mouth to his hand instead of her teeth. For the first time since she woke up in this strange gray world, Lily cared about where the blood came from.
He tasted good. No. He tasted… magnificent. Lily remembered the candied sweets some of the troupe patrons offered for private performances which had been wonderful, but nothing like this. No, those pieces of candy had garnered a want for more, certainly, but not need. She needed his blood. She needed it to live.
Lily clutched the back of his hand and started to lick his palm in rapid little darts of her tongue. Was the world still gray? Her eyes focused just a little bit more, she noticed the silver buckles on his armor, the moon was reflected upon them.
“It's hard for me to stay in the moment. Without the past, where is the guilt? And without the future, where is the dread? And without guilt and dread, who am I?”

He stepped closer as she fed and brought his hand lower in her grasp, watched her mouth follow. Being fed from in such a manner was pleasurable and her shift of attention, method was no less arousing. His free hand lifted to stroke her hair as he watched her, some flood of greater unlife stirring within her core now.

She made a sound. It was suspiciously close to a purr, too. Instead of the snarling thrash of teeth or jaws that might have occurred before. Her hands were spreading out behind his wrist, as well, something of a fluttery movement to them. Her skin did not ache. The pang of hunger in her belly was receding. She was starting to enjoy it.
Lily ‘s thoughts re-fired, dead nerves writhing from her wrists to her spine. She could think. Well, she had thoughts before, however they had been frighteningly single-minded. That narrow line widened and expanded to fill up her brain.
How did she get here? Hadn’t she just been in Vasiliev?

Renquist withdrew his hand and studied at it a moment, then smeared it down his own lips. He licked slowly, casually and looked her up and then down. She was quite remarkable, it seemed his blood had almost... healed her some. Interesting. An oddity, a very intriguing oddity.
Yes, I suppose you had a name once. Tell me, what name did justice to so angelic a being? Do you recall?
She was quite pretty... by an eccentric, undying vampyre's standards.

Hm?
She had not been paying attention. Lily was way more interested in the sharper world around her. Perhaps sharper was not the right word to use. She felt like she had been standing on a dusty, unused stage for months; a stage that had now been swept clean. Idiot. He asked your name.
“Lily. I am called Lily.”
Her head turned toward the waving trees behind them.

Renquist followed her gaze as he stepped closer once more, running fingers over his palm as the skin knitted closed and mended completely. She had not taken a great deal, it seemed her hunger was quickly satiated. Another odd trait, he had found his blood quite intoxicating to the few had had it.
Yes, very strange. He consciously decided now that she held his interest and smiled as he decided he would entertain his thoughts, see what he might learn of her.
Lily. Marvelous. Tell me sweet thing... how do you feel now that you have fed that voracious hunger of yours?

Lily was swaying side to side her hands wrapped around the opposite arms. Her eyes were closed and she had turned her face into the wind. She moved with a ballerina’s elegant sweep of body, too, mimicking the branches in the trees.

Renquist nodded. One hand resting on his pommel and the other tucked by a thumb into his belt, he watched her swaying in the moonlight. There was a grace lurking within her, something she did not force... it simply existed and in this moment hinted at what she might well be capable of. The humming, a song of sorts; was also quite enchanting.
She stirred his curiosity with such simple actions. So very unique and perhaps so brimming with potential. He had to know more now.

Lily stood up on her toes. She whirled around on one pointed foot, the other pushed forward and bent at the knee, the ragged silk of her dress flung out from her hips; a corpse-like ballerina on the top of a midnight’s music box. When he spoke she came to a halt. The humming stopped. She thought about the question. Was she hungry? Her belly did not ache like it had before. Odd. Lily searched deeper.
She knew hunger. She awoke knowing nothing else but hunger. Her hands were full of dirt, cloth, hair, and other things. Things, that in the darkness she could not identify, nevertheless rapacious need had shoved them into her mouth in a quick attempt to stave it off. The dead flesh and stagnant blood had been swallowed and Lily kept moving.
She gave Renquist a sly look. She had been taught how to dance, how to tempt, how to tease, how to enflame, and how to prevaricate.
“It's hard for me to stay in the moment. Without the past, where is the guilt? And without the future, where is the dread? And without guilt and dread, who am I?”

There was a slight glee that stirred into being in Renquist's eyes as he watched her, the pieces were falling into place... very elaborate, perfectly trained pieces. She had been a dancer, an artist; and that perhaps is where he found her most beautiful, thrown into such simple elegance as if in defiance of her state.
And she became provocative. A quite provocative, all together dead woman. How very peculiar. That glee set alight a smile and his hands fell to his sides, lax and non-defensive.

Lily stretched upward. The limber draw of her body pulled her off the bottom of her feet with her hands latched about the back of his head. Her teeth went straight for his throat, too. A thousand things exploding into her brain the minute she touched him. A small cry broke from her lips before she even managed to find skin with them, too.
It was too late to sort through those colliding thoughts now, though. He was right there; his body was in between her hands, and his flesh was mouth-watering. Lily sunk her teeth into the vampire’s neck and when she did so the world stopped.
“It's hard for me to stay in the moment. Without the past, where is the guilt? And without the future, where is the dread? And without guilt and dread, who am I?”

Renquist smiled then, but his lips parted as she took to his neck. The sensation made his eyelids flutter, forced a sudden gasp from his lips. One hand slipped onto her rear whilst the other found her hair and cradled her, willing to offer himself in this manner. It was not unpleasant... quite the contrary in fact.
Yes Lily. Drink of me. Feed your hunger.
His own words made him groan with pleasure then, it was almost obscene in that she was not a vampyre. He was still unaware of her exact nature but gods, her mouth dragging unlife from him was exquisite. He willed a stronger flow into her mouth, caressed her as she consumed him. He hissed, a slow, silent, suggestion of his arousal.

Lily’s memories poured into her mind like the vampyre’s blood poured into her throat. There was no stopper, there was no sieve, and where it ended Lily did not yet know. What she did know was how it started. She remembered the years of practice the constant thudding of her teacher’s cane, even sometimes upon the shoulders of stragglers in the line. How many times did she tape up her toes to keep the blood from seeping into her slippers? The slippers were expensive while the students were not.
Lily’s moans came quicker. Blood.
Lily wrapped her body around Renquist as if he were her Cavalier in the dance. The words he spoke registered in some portion of her mind, but it was the tones that drove her into his hip, which sealed her lips to his neck, entwined her leg around him, and brought a tiny mewl out of her throat.
“It's hard for me to stay in the moment. Without the past, where is the guilt? And without the future, where is the dread? And without guilt and dread, who am I?”
