The Menagerie play by post RPG would like to thank both Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson for their Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. They made the world that much more fantastic.

I had an interesting concept for the mage school:
In the interest of giving Serenity a reason to stay in Wistvale, she could be given funds by her rulers to refurbish a tower just outside of the town, and turn it into a school. It's main purpose would be to attract magic potential and train, as well as serve as a haven for scholars.
On the flip side, there could be more secret intentions afoot by the rulers of Highever to perhaps integrate Wistvale into it's ever growing expansion. Serenity would have to put up with an emissary while she's at the tower, who evaluates Wistvale's importance as an asset and it's growth.
Of course there doesn't have to be dark intentions, but I thought that would make for some interesting RP.

They help me concentrate.
And that's cool, I know my idea is a big stretch especially after I didn't keep Serenity up with a leadership position last time. I already have other ideas to reasonably keep her butt in Wistvale.

I will be creating a couple of maps, one for the town and one for the world, to add to our collection of images. If you have mentioned a specific place of origin or homeland please add it here so I can include it in the world map. Plus, if you have a particular affinity for a specific "area" in town. (IE: on the outskirts, main street, what have you, for your home) Please, let me know so I can get a general idea of where to place them.

The burned out remains of Marg's old town is to the north in a few mountains. Chaz's new mansion/forge is just outside town. That's all I can think of for now.

Sure.
As this is catching, I suggest everyone go through the archives and give out adequate rewards for whatever stories were left hanging last time. I will do the same.

To that effect, I would suggest a benchmark of 1 acclaim per page for players and GM. I won't be reading through everything to evaluate but I think we can settle it pretty easily that way.

I am working on having a thieves guild of sorts as a faction. It's in progress in game, should be fun for players with that kind of interest. No, it won't be flat out evil and such or cause a huge conflict with the Sentinels but should fit in nicely with what have so far.
Welcome to The Menagerie. We are a free role playing game with less rules and more freedom. After many years, a couple of hosts and a few different game systems, we feel that less is more. Players get to be truly creative, which in turn leads to more enjoyment in game.
We invite you to join us in crafting our world and look forward to making friends. Should you have any questions, feel free to post in our chat box or ask any of our members or staff.
May you enjoy your stay.
It must be said that this game is the product of continued dedication and friendship.
Grayell: Game inventor and closet basement geek.
Yukiko: Admin and dream-weaver.
Marlena: Admin and promoter extraordinaire.
The Menagerie has enjoyed many incarnations, revamps, reimaginings and renovations and none of it would have been possible without the ongoing support of my friends, the players. Their unwavering loyalty and endless dedication to this project has been stellar.
I would like to thank all admin and staff past and present, in particular Tiberius.
I would like to thank friends and staff no longer with us, and to the few I hold most dear: John, Roland, Alex, Azriel and Jenkins.
Thank you all.
