The Menagerie play by post RPG would like to thank both Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson for their Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. They made the world that much more fantastic.

Smiles in immediate reply and a long, smooth, murmured breath slips past his lips and voices his utter contentment. His hands knit at the small of her back and then rest upon her rear, him kissing her head repeatedly, slowly and softly.
Mhm. I suppose I'll be fishing then. Works for you?

Kiko's eyes slipped closed. The breeze that blew the Catalina along fanned the hair out beside his face. She brushed it away to nestle a bit closer to him.
Well, that depends. Are you going to catch them with your bare hands? Because, honestly, I have a better idea of what do do with those.

Grayell chuckles as his cheek brushed at her temple, his hands slow but busy to hold her closer, arms winding about her frame.
Hm. I do have a spear, if my hands are to be so preoccupied.
The tone in those words was soft and surely suggestive enough. He adored that they could play so humorously and flirt, that the magic between them seemed to never wane.
But... I think I no longer have an appetite for fish.

Kiko let a heavy sigh fall out of her throat. She did not leave his embrace, if anything she was plastering her body against him. It was probably the wind. Yes. She needed stability. Of course.
I guess I'll have to find something else to satisfy then.
The wind *had* picked up. Catalina was a good five hundred feet from the shore, already. At this rate they would be out of sight quickly.

Grayell growled in response, a very wanting sound that was decidedly enthusiastic. He still smiled though, the heat in his blood cooling with the love he felt for her. The boat skipped along of it's own accord and he lifted her with ease in his arms, then turned and settled her atop the cabin roof. He stood between her legs and rested his head on her shoulder, arms still wound about her. He took as much time as the moment deserved to breath her in, then kisses her neck.
You always satisfy me Yukiko. Without fail and even without trying. I owe you my everything.

Kiko glanced down at him. He was certainly in an odd mood. Recently she had been spending more and more time away from their home. She was not trying to avoid it, only ranging farther afield to keep track of several things going on in the vicinity.
Her fingers lingered in the silk of his hair. She forced herself to stop, slow down, and feel the strands slip through her fingers. She was trying not to think too hard about anything else.
Does that mean I'm the captain of this vessel, too? I mean... if you are going to start paying me...

Grayell gave her an almost dazzled look, smiling wide... and then nodded. He looked up and down the length of the Catalina, chuckled some and then slipped from her grasp to lean against the boat's side.

She blinked at him.
What?
She had not been serious. The look on his face, though, made her wonder if his offer was serious. He was hard to read on days, even for somebody who paid more attention to body language than words. Kiko slid off the roof of the cabin after him.

Kiko took a step back mentally, if not physically. He was serious.
She stood there for several moments considering what to say. She did not want for a thing. She was happy. There had been a time when ghosts from the past chased her, when the curse was still new, and when memories of her childhood haunted every footstep. Those days were gone. Yes, there were plenty of enemies in this world, but their influence did not linger beyond battles fought and won. She could not tell him to destroy this bandit leader or that one to make their home safer.
Her eyes slipped closed and she turned her head back in the direction of the treehouse. The little family of wolves remained endlessly vigilant where he had left them and it had not escaped her notice that said family included pups. They'd always laughed about that, but the years continued without any additions to their family.

Grayell stepped toward her and took first her hands in his. He then stepped closer still, pulling them to his sides, before he wound his arms about her and looked down at her, lost in those incredible eyes and enamoured in the extreme. He just stared, his gaze unwavering, his smile unfaltering as the boat swayed along the water, completely silent for a time.
If ever there is anything. Say the words. I am yours in all ways. I am yours to command. And I will always be there, so long as I can see you smile.

Kiko's reply was sundered by a crack of sound. The Catalina shuddered, swayed, and swung abruptly around. The collision of her back end was a minor echo.
The wind, which had been pushing them along at a sharp clip, cut off immediately. Though, there was nothing visible around them that would block it. It was if they had hit a wall spanning the distance between water and sky.
The world darkened. The moon retreated behind a swirl of ugly looking clouds and the water beneath them began to churn. When it stopped they were headed in another direction, the sails billowing out as if nothing had occurred.

Grayell had reacted as she would expect - his attention was snatched to whatever the hell was going on. Senses in overdrive, his skin abuzz with energy and anticipation, him trying to read the weather, watching the water.
It didn't take his years as Swansong to recognize something was amiss, something unnatural... and then it appeared to end as suddenly as it had begun.
He didn't settle though, he was too hard wired for conflict to simply relax and think nothing of it. No, he was still on high alert, senses pouring over everything in their surroundings...

Kiko was at a loss. There was no one climbing over the edge to battle, no other vessel in sight, and any creatures; monstrous or otherwise, had not stuck their heads up out of the sea. The water, in fact, was placid enough; though they were moving along at a swift clip. The only information she knew went through her head.
An abrupt collision.
An abrupt halt.
A new direction.
Those three things remained the only clues. Kiko ran her hand over the Catalina's hull before resting her fingers on the Wolf's shoulder. With nothing to fight and no other anomaly she said the first thing that came to mind.

Grayell was still on edge, she knew him and knew how much he disliked magic. And odd thing given his blood mastery, but that was not the ritualistic crap he detested so. He turned, quickly working to take the wind out of the sails and brought the boat to a slow halt. His eyes scanned where they had just been, looking for some sign of something, him quite uneasy with what had occurred but less than eager to simply drift away and ignore it.
Magic for certain. And out here... with what purpose?
Grayell swallowed the tension in his gut and wound his arms about his lover, holding his chest to her back and setting his chin atop her head. It soothed him, relaxed him some and gave him clarity.
