The Menagerie play by post RPG would like to thank both Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson for their Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. They made the world that much more fantastic.
Unused to the concept of having spare cash still, Dom felt very odd coming shopping again. But he knew his upcoming journeys would require some more prep. Plus he'd been told he could get a discount on an intriguing weapon that might suit him well.
"I hear you've got a deal going on polearms today. Was told I could get a svardstav for 100 gold. Plus I'm going to need some travelling provisions. So three moderate health potions and a Utility Belt to carry them in, if it's not too much trouble."
(Svardstav = 100, 3x Potion = 90, Utility Belt = 50. Total 240)
Approved, your profile updated; will post the details in your CS now

The Big Silence A particularly nasty weapon favored by the less scrupulous assassin types. Especially effective against spellcasters. -A garrote of thin metal wire. -Only works as a weapon if no one is aware of your presence. -Even if it fails to kill the target, they are silenced and may not cast spells, at GM discretion. -Such a weapon is illegal, but easily hidden. -$125
Also buyin' onna these...yeah, a cheese cutter. I make a lotta cheese, get me?
T'all ya fine dandies, so proud, so cocksure, prancin' abowt wi' yer head ful'a the pink stuff...come an' get me, says I! I'll be waitin', wiv' a whiff'a me ol' brimstone! I'm a grim, bloody fable, with an unhappy bloody end!

I'm going to purchase these two items.
Shrew Robe. - The Shrew Robe certainly has it's uses - none that anyone can think of in a hurry mind you. - Clothing, no defensive value. - The user can use their Physical Appeal against intelligent monsters in the same way it would influence normal humans and others of the same species as the user. - $75.
Ring of Flame This golden band feels warm to the touch, and if you look closely enough, you can see shifting patterns in its surface. - Somewhat enhances the power and ease with which fire magic is used - Costs 100 gp

The old man gave me some money! Time to blow it all in one place!
Plasma Star. - Small, accurate and lighting fast; these weapons are as spectacular to watch in action as they are dangerous in skilled hands. Not ideal for stealth attacks however. - One handed ranged. - These blades are very fast when thrown. - These blades suffer a minor reduction to damage dealt. - The shuriken glow a brilliant blue when thrown. - These shuriken make a crackling noise when thrown. - 200 gold.
The Horsecutter. - A very large, folding throwing weapon that takes great skill to master. Whilst slow to employ, the result is impressive. - One handed ranged. - The user may use this weapon as any other thrown weapon. - If the user spends one round aiming and without with any other action or movement, they may throw this weapon with extra force. - This consequent throw will then deal major extra damage, capable of flying clean through some objects. - 225 gold.
The Raptor. - A primitive karambit knife, made of stone and bone. Slow in flight, but terribly wicked in close combat. - One handed ranged. - The Raptor does not fly directly at it's target, but instead arcs wide and then in. - This does make it slower to reach it's target. - The Raptor can be used in close quarters combat. - The user's Martial Prowess will gain a moderate bonus when this knife is used in that fashion. - 300 gold.
I get 25% discount on each of these cause I invented them! Hells yeah!
Then I want these too...
Garments of the Flippant Knife. - The Flippant Knife were a gang of mercenaries that made quite a name for themselves - before they disbanded over an argument regarding their name. - Light armor, torso. - Increases the range of any thrown weapon. - Allows the user to carry an additional reserve weapon, this must be a throwing knife type weapon. - $250.
Rogue Boots. - Simple boots designed for carrying an extra blade or two. - Regular clothing, no defensive value. - The user can carry two extra throwing knives - one in each boot. - $40.
The Three Kestrels - Tiny and fierce; these matched throwing blades have no peer when it comes flying straight and true. Purely Elven in design, they can target even the smallest vital spot on your prey with incredible precision. - One handed ranged. - These blades will always return to the wielder when commanded, so long as the glove is equipped. - The glove grants three extra equipment slots that must be used for the daggers. -175 gold

As the store is now open I am purchasing
2 of these:
The Kopii - The Kopii is usually wielded in pairs. These blades were forged from iron sand more commonly used to create slashing blades like the katana and wakizashi. - Small 1 handed melee. - This blade is extremely sharp and will punch through light armor as easily as cloth. - This blade can be thrown as a projectile but must be retrieved. - $175.
And 1 of these:
Hoshi – The Blade of Stars - Forged of metal taken from a fallen meteor this weapon emits a streaking tail of fire when used in battle. - Small 1 handed melee. - This blade can be drawn with increased speed. - This blade can intercept an enemy’s weapon – the tail of fire acting as though the blade were in fact longer. - $300
“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”

I'd like to sell:
The Stranger - This weapon was first seen worn at the hip of a stranger to a king's court. It was later seen in the king's throat. - Medium 1 handed melee. - This weapon deals minor bonus damage when wielded alone. - This weapon is minorly faster to strike when wielded alone. - Wielded alone = no off hand weapon or shield. - $225.
Alrich Vestments - These clothes look quite stylish but there is no ignoring the morbid design and gothic colors. - Clothing, no defensive value. - The user can heal themselves when wearing this item. - Rate of healing is equivalent to level 3 Healing Magic. - Causes Fatigue at the same rate. - User requires no Healing Magic to use this ability. - The user can perform no other action, or be interfered when using this skill. - $400.

Ansel walks into the shop, having recently come in to quite a lot of money due to church donations. Deciding to upgrade his equipment, so he can continue to spread Zalgo's message, he wanders around, finding a few items he likes. Suddenly, he finds himself in the glove section and looks up. Seeing the Hades Claws, his eyes shoot open, and a tiny bit of drool finds it's way down his chin. He quickly grabs them and then takes them and the rest of the items to the counter, the look of pure joy in his eyes barely contained.
Buying:
Pugilist's Pauldron - This minimalist shoulder armor is quite liked by those who wield their body as a weapon. - Additional Item. - Slightly enhances the user's defense when fighting unarmed. - $50.
Richter's Boots - Created by cabal of Earth mages as a gift to the Richter royal family. These boots were meant to help Dwarven miners discover new deposits of ore and navigate underground easily, though they have of late been showing up on the surface. - The user's feet become quite attuned to movement upon or in the ground, allowing them to 'sense' motion in a radial area. - The range of this skill is largely dependent upon the strength of the movement or impact involved. - $150
and the big bad:
Hades Claws - The Hades Claw gauntlets are savagely sharp, but their enchantment is no laughing matter. - The user now deals minor bonus damage with unarmed attacks. - The user unarmed attacks are now treated like any edged weapon, capable of cutting and piercing. - Once per day, the user may halt an incoming magic attack that is targeting the wearer- and then send it back at the enemy spell caster. $1000.

I'm selling these items back to the store:
Hawkeyes Helm - The Hawkeyes Helm has been used by rampart guards to great success in the past. - Allows the user to double their range of eyesight for one round. - Usable 3 times per day. - $75
Silver Dagger.[size=1][i] - A functional dagger, useful in combat. - One handed melee. - Inflicts slight bonus damage to undead and were creatures. - $75
“Put some clothes on, you weird, yellow-eyed, table-dancing, werewolf-training, cryptic, stare-me-right-in-the-eyes-and-don't-even-blink wench.”

With all my extra monies from creating stuff and whatnot, not to mention selling items to the storekeeper, who must hate us all now... I will buy the following:
Vanguard Hood. - Made to meet very specific demands of the Vanguard organization and available only to their members. An 'under the table' item. - Vanguard members only. - Helm. - This hood's enchantment completely conceals the user's face when up. - The user may mentally communicate with any other wearer of this same item, in the same adventure. - $150.
Galena's Touch - The semi-deity Galena's benevolence is said to be felt through these delicate gloves. - Three times per day, the user may heal themselves or an ally. - To do so, they must touch the target. - This weal heal a moderate amount of damage in one round. - $600
