Celephai just laughed. Hard. She, admittedly, would have been at a loss for rebuttal, but there needn't have been one for this conversation.
"Oh, very well... I suppose all I can offer is well-wishes and thanks. If you need me, and you probably won't, but nonetheless, you know where we are."
Celephai exited via a different tunnel, soon arriving at what she called home. Enda had already deposited herself in bed, and Cel swiftly collapsed into the pile as well. It had been a good day for the both of them, and it wasn't about to be ruined by staying up too late.
Grayell doubted that entirely... but Cel wasn't one to get sentimental. He watched her wander off toward her home with a smile, just standing there for a moment and reflecting back on the events of the day.... and then well back in the past.
Cel would always occupy a special place in his heart. It was probably very dank and creepy as hell, but so long as she was smiling there, he was ok with that.
Enda, whether his or not; had a guardian who intended to take his task very seriously.
But then, so did Celephai. He just wasn't going to let her know it.
The words were almost silent, he didn't need her to hear but rather just... felt the need to say them.
The next words, some time later and somewhere deep in the bowels of the sewers were not so silent but well out of ear shot for the sleeping Celephai and her adorable squidling.
