1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser or on your device. They help a
site remember information between requests, such as whether you are signed in or whether you have
chosen a particular interface preference.

This Cookie Policy explains how Menagerie uses cookies and similar browser-based storage in
connection with our website and application. For more information about how we handle personal
information, see our Privacy Policy.

2. How Menagerie Uses Cookies

Menagerie currently uses cookies for a limited set of product functions. We use them to:

  • keep signed-in users authenticated
  • help protect forms and requests against abuse
  • remember a simple interface preference within the app

We do not currently use cookies for advertising, web analytics, or behavioral profiling.

3. Cookies We Use

Cookie Category Purpose Duration
auth_token Required Keeps signed-in users authenticated between requests. Persistent cookie used for login sessions.
csrf_token Required Helps protect forms and requests against cross-site request forgery. Stored for security-related session handling.
sidebar_state Functional Remembers whether the app sidebar is expanded or collapsed. Stored until changed or cleared in the browser.

4. Cookies We Do Not Currently Use

Menagerie does not currently use:

  • advertising cookies
  • web analytics cookies
  • cookie-based behavioral profiling or cross-site tracking cookies

If Menagerie adds new cookie-based features, analytics tooling, advertising technology, or
third-party integrations in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy to reflect those
changes.

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Depending on your browser, you may
be able to block cookies, delete existing cookies, or receive a notice before a cookie is stored.

If you choose to block or delete cookies, some parts of Menagerie may not work as intended.

6. What Happens If You Disable Cookies

If you disable or clear required cookies, you may not be able to sign in, stay signed in, or
submit forms securely.

If you disable or clear sidebar_state, Menagerie will simply stop remembering whether the app
sidebar is expanded or collapsed.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Menagerie’s features,
cookie usage, legal requirements, or service providers. When we do, we will update the
Last Updated date at the top of this page.
