information when you use our website and application.

Menagerie is designed to help people create and manage tabletop RPG character sheets and related
campaign information. This policy describes our current privacy practices and may be updated as the
product changes.

2. Information We Collect

We currently collect the following information directly from users:

  • name
  • email address
  • password, if you choose to set one for your account

We may also collect limited technical and security-related information needed to operate and
protect the service, such as request metadata, browser or device information, and IP-address-based
information used for security, authentication, and service reliability.

If you make a purchase through Menagerie, checkout and payment processing are handled by Polar.
Polar may collect billing and address information needed to process your purchase.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your account
  • authenticate you and help keep the service secure
  • provide Menagerie’s product features and customer support
  • process purchases through Polar
  • send you service-related emails or account communications
  • maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service

Where applicable, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: to provide the service you requested, maintain your account, and
    process transactions.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, support, and improve Menagerie.

    requirements, or fraud-prevention obligations.
  • Consent: where processing depends on consent, such as when you voluntarily provide specific

5. How We Share Information

We may share personal information in the following circumstances:

  • With Polar: to process purchases, including billing and checkout information handled through

  • With service providers: when needed to operate, secure, host, maintain, or support the
    service.
  • For legal or safety reasons: if disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to
    protect users, Menagerie, or the public.

Menagerie does not sell personal information.

We generally retain account information for as long as your account remains active.

We may keep some information for longer if needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve
disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, or protect the security and integrity of the service.

Payment-related records may also be retained by Polar under Polar’s own legal and operational
requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect personal
information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure,
so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion
of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can also manage certain account information directly in the application.

9. Cookies and Tracking

Menagerie uses a limited set of required and functional cookies to operate the service.

Menagerie does not currently use web analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

Menagerie is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Menagerie, please contact us
through the contact path described below so we can review the situation.

11. Account Deletion

You can delete your account while logged in by visiting
/app/settings.

Deleting your account may not remove information we are required to retain for legal, accounting,
security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Menagerie’s features,
privacy practices, service providers, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the
Last Updated date at the top of this page.
